THE GREETERS
The Paris “Greeters” are passionate volunteer ambassadors who warmly welcome visitors from all over the world. They offer free walks in Paris and the surrounding areas.
Every encounter between a ‘Greeter’ and their visitors is a unique experience: it’s not just about sharing a world-famous city, but also about discovering one another and each other’s cultures. It’s an opportunity to show Paris as its residents love it.
Greeters are not professional guides. Please do not ask them to take you on museum tours or historical tours!

Visiting Paris with the ‘Greeters’ is an opportunity to discover neighbourhoods that visitors are generally unaware of, or into which they would not have thought to venture.
Visiting Paris with the ‘Greeters’ means strolling through charming alleyways or magnificent avenues, discovering parks and unobstructed views of the capital, and getting recommendations for good restaurants in Montmartre or a hotel near the Eiffel Tower, for example. These encounters help to fulfil the aim of ‘Greeters Paris’: to offer a more accurate insight into Parisians and Paris itself.
